My Animation Table

Everything is packed in plastic shopping bags, then I just take the stuff to the cafe.
     It makes it really easy.

I have tried to animate at home, but it just doesn't work.
It is hard for me to keep a table open.  I always put other stuff on it, like books and magazines, and then it is a big mess.

To do it at the cafe is a breeze, because I know I have to start the table from scratch, and pack it all up at the end of a session.
Then I don't have to think about it for the rest of the day.
I also don't have to look at the stuff in my living space all day, because then I would be thinking about animation all day long, and I don't want to do that.
Anyway, here are some pictures of my table at the cafe.
I get funny looks from people once in a while, who have a hard time processing that I'm making animations in a cafe.
The tripod is usually the give-away.

This window is actually fantastic because it faces the north, so I get that nice northern light.  It is the only light in which the full range of colors is presented for both photography and painting.
It was always my dream to have a big studio with a northern light window, and now I have one.  I don't own it, but it is just as good to be able to make use of it for the price of a cup of coffee or two.

The cafe is cool.  They even let me paint in there.  Nice, huh?
